Krampus is a mythical creature from European folklore, and a companion of Saint Nicholas (Santa Claus) in Austria and parts of Germany. While Saint Nicholas brings gifts and rewards to good children, Krampus is said to visit misbehaving children during the holiday season.

Krampusnacht is celebrated on December 5 across Germany, Austria, as well as other alpine-countires. In recent times, Krampusnacht has become a fun, annual tradition in which people dress up in costume, parade through the streets, and enjoy food, drinks, and seasonal merriment! This holiday is also becoming increasingly popular in North America as well, as it captures the excitement and spookiness of Halloween, right before the Christmas season!
